HENDERSON (IHCT) – One person is dead after a pedestrian accident on Boulder Highway late Monday night.

The Henderson Fire Department and the Henderson Police Department responded to a call around 10:32pm on Feb. 14 that a person was struck by a vehicle on the northbound lanes of Boulder Highway between Galleria Drive and Broadbent Avenue.

Boulder Highway was shut down as police investigated the scene of the accident.

According to police, a black Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Boulder Highway when a male pedestrian stepped into the path of the Charger.

The 59-year-old pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Trauma where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Speed and impairment on behalf of the driver were not factors. Impairment of the pedestrian is not known.

The name of the pedestrian has not been released.
