LAS VEGAS (IHCT) – The Nevada State Police with the Clark County Fire Department responded to a multiple fatal vehicle accident on southbound I-15 near Jean at around 6:09pm on Monday, Jan. 10th, 2022.
According to Nevada State Police, 4 people died and 6 vehicles were involved with the accident.
Police say that a wrong way driver in a red Cadillac ATS was traveling northbound in the southbound lane, when it struck a Toyota Tacoma truck head on, causing the truck to go up in flames.
All 3 people in the truck died, as well as the driver of the sedan.
Surviving victims were transported to University Medical Center.
Southbound lanes of I-15 were closed down, with traffic being diverted to Las Vegas Blvd south.

UPDATE (01/28/22): All victims have been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s office. The driver of the Cadillac was 37-year-old Erica Morell of Henderson. The victims of the Toyota Tacoma were Hin Long Chan, 71, from Rosemead, CA; Enrique Ruiz, 59, from Fontana, CA and Shahriar Khodadadi, 39 from Santa Monica, CA.
